Environment Foundation Team
Vision - Jefferson County will preserve and continously improve its environment.
The following are the most recent activities:
- Two action partners, Appalachian Electric Cooperative and Total Property Management worked together to donate labor and materials for a tree planting at the new Green House addition of the Jefferson County Nursing Home. Another action partner, Modern Woodsman, planted trees at the new Habitat House in Jefferson City.
- The work product of the "Growth Readiness Report" was used by the local planning assistance office in formulating the final version of Jefferson County's Land Use Plan.
- Supporting the effort to find locations within Jefferson County that will hopefully be selected for the installation of public charging stations for electric vehicles.
